A veteran of over thirty years of dance and gymnastics experience, Miss Jenny has been teaching since 2000 and started taking classes from the Academy at age 10! Miss Jenny has studied ballet, tap, jazz, tumbling, pointe, hip-hop, modern, and lyrical. While attending Northern Illinois University to earn her degree, Miss Jenny attended ballet classes through the college and the Fauborg School of Ballet.  In addition to ballet, she continued her gymnastics, tap, and jazz training while in DeKalb, and also studied ballroom and partner dancing in Sterling, Illinois with Julie Dale. Along with our teaching staff, Miss Jenny continues to attend regular dance conventions to further her education.  Miss Jenny has taught all subjects at the studio and is also a licensed Zumba instructor. Miss Jenny is a current and active member of the Dance Educators of America, striving to make sure dancers are properly trained and the love of dance is shared with them. She currently lives in Algonquin with her four children, Connor, Samantha, Madelyn, and Parker. 

Miss Hannah is a Professional Dancer, Teacher, Choreographer, and Adjudicator based in Chicago, IL. In 2019, She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography from Dean College located in Franklin, MA. Upon graduating, Hannah returned to the Chicagoland area and trained at Joel Hall Dancers and Center where she trained with Joel Hall, William Gill, and Van Collins. She spent two seasons performing with Inaside Chicago Dance, performed as a guest artist with Rasa Dance Chicago, and is currently a company member with The LAUNCH Chicago. Besides performing, Hannah is an adjudicator for One Beat Dance Brands, serves as The YOUTH Ensemble Director for The LAUNCH Chicago, and is a full-time instructor/choreographer for Algonquin Academy of Dance and Revolution Dance Company. Hannah is committed to sharing her passion and knowledge with the next generation of dancers through performance and education.

Miss Meghan began dancing when she was 4 years old, and moved to the Algonquin Academy of Dance at age 9. She has studied a wide variety of dance styles over the years. She is passionate about helping young dancers discover the joy, confidence, and creativity that dance can bring. She has been a teacher at our studio for over 10 years (with a hiatus when her kids were little). She lives in Algonquin with her husband and two children.   Her goal is to help each student develop strong technique while building confidence, self-expression, discipline, and a genuine love for dance.

Miss Haley started dancing in 2nd grade and joined Algonquin Academy of Dance in middle school. She trained in almost every style, was a member of our competitive dance team, and began teaching in 2020. Her favorite styles are hip hop, tap, and ballet! In 2025, Miss Haley graduated from Saint Louis University with a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science and is currently a full-time chemist. While in college, she was a dancer/choreographer with XQuizit Hip Hop Crew, performing throughout the St. Louis area at showcases, sports events, and concerts. With XQuizit, she had the opportunity to perform at HipHop ConnXion’s “The One Street Dance Showcase,” featuring hip hop companies from across the Midwest. Alongside hip hop, Miss Haley studied Vaganova-style ballet in college and tap danced in an SLU Theatre production called, Dreamscape. She is excited to share her passion for dance with her students and strives to create a positive environment where they can learn, grow, and gain confidence!

Miss Alison began dancing at the age of three years old at a dance studio in the NW Suburbs. She reached her studio’s highest performing company and continued to dance in high school. There she was a member of the Rolling Meadows Orchesis as well as Captain of the Poms team. In college she spent her summers teaching at dance camps all over the country. At the University of Illinois Alison was a member of the Illinettes Dance Team and Captain her Senior year. After college Alison lived in Los Angeles where she took dance classes at The Edge and Millennium Dance Complex. Alison is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and hip hop. She has been teaching dance for over 20 years and loves bringing energy and fun into the dance room while helping dancers build strong technique, confidence, and a genuine love for dance. She lives in Crystal Lake with her husband and two boys. 

Miss Chrissy started dancing at just three years old, trained in ballet, tap, acro and jazz.  At the age of 12 she was awarded Grade 3 Certificate in Cecchitti Ballet.  It was during high school she extended her training into lyrical, and joined Midwest Dance Collective, a pre-professional dance company under the direction of Ellen Werksman. Through the company, she had the opportunity to travel the country teaching and performing and to work with some incredible Chicago choreographers, including Joel Hall, Rosemary Doolas, Melissa Thodos, Leona Bataille, and many others. Over the years, she has been a guest performer with River North, participated in Dance Chicago, toured with Applause Talent, and choreographed and performed in Off-Broadway musicals. She began teaching dance in 2000 and continues to share her love of dance through her experience, knowledge and passion for dance with her students.  When she’s not at the studio, she stays busy with her husband, two kids, and their dog, Izzy. She also works as a real estate agent and enjoys flipping houses with her husband. 

Miss Trish grew up in McHenry where she danced for ten years. She attended classes at Mar Ray Studio in McHenry and probably ran into Miss Mary, the Algonquin Academy of Dance’s previous owner!  After finishing college and starting her family, Miss Trish returned to dance using her background in tap, jazz, ballet, and hip hop. Miss Trish has continued her dance instructor/coach career at the Algonquin Academy of Dance. She teaches our Hip Hop classes and is one of our dance team teachers! Her enthusiasm and style of teaching dance has allowed her dancers to excel and develop their own love of dance. In addition to dancing, Miss Trish graduated from University of Illinois with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and from Saint Xavier University with a Master's Degree in Teaching and Leadership. Miss Trish is an eighth grade math teacher at McHenry Middle School.

Miss Kari began her dance career in Ohio. Miss Kari has danced for over 25 years. She started as an assistant teacher at our studio and then quickly became a teacher. She has taught dance at the studio for 20 years. With her sense of music, strong technique, quick ability to learn new skills, and wonderful stage presence, Miss Kari has delighted audiences at Academy events for years. Miss Kari loves all forms of dance and is especially adept at choreography. Miss Kari’s experience in Poms and dance team allowed her to help create and develop the Algonquin Academy’s pom program.  She currently resides in Poplar Grove with her husband Joe and their two children.

Miss Camryn started dancing at the age of five and quickly fell in love with the sport and art form. What started as a weekly ballet class grew to additionally include training in tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, pointe, hip hop, poms, and musical theatre. This love of exploring the dance world led Camryn to join the Academy's dance team, Revolution Dance Company. Miss Camryn has been teaching both recreational classes and coaching our dance team for a few years now. She loves the opportunity to share her love of dance with her students. Outside of the studio, Camryn is a graphic design student that enjoys spending her free time knitting and crocheting.

Miss Madilyn started dancing when she was two years old. She left it for a little bit and returned when she was in sixth grade. Miss Madilyn is now a NIU graduate and has been dancing for about twelve years at the studio. She is very excited for this new dance season. She can not wait to meet her students. LET'S HAVE SOME FUN!!
